Workshops & Groups

At GHC we believe that education is the key to understanding and acceptance. Educational workshops and training courses provide everyone with opportunities to develop skills that help them understand transgender communities as well as information that help other transgender individuals get the care and jobs they need. These programs provide opportunities for individuals with some transgender experience to sharpen their skills and expand their expertise. Many educational workshops are supported by donations from our supporters and people like you.

Art for Your Heart

What is this group about? This group is a safe place for you to bring issues of concerns that are weighing heavily on your heart. The things that matter most to us change by the week and even by the day, so we invite you to bring what's on your heart, and let's work through the issue in group therapy.

How can art therapy help? Art therapy is a visual expression of what’s going on inside. When words are not enough or cannot be found, art is a wonderful lead into verbal communication. Art therapy increases confidence, soothes worry, and ALL persons can join the healing process.
